Rachel is the mother of two and works full time as school psychologist. She lives with her husband (Dave), two daughters (Claire - 8, Harper - 10), and dog (Louie). Rachel loves music, house plants, dogs and horses, and hands-on creativity!

After having her daughters, she realized how much fun it was to throw cute birthday parties and loved to coordinate the party decor around a beautifully decorated cake. Rachel purchased these cakes from another home baker in Oklahoma, and always admired the artistry and attention to detail that went into them. Unfortunately, that home baker decided to retire from her cake decorating business, which forced Rachel to attempt the craft herself! She then discovered how fun it was for her, and how she had needed this as a creative outlet for a long time. When friends started asking her to make/sell cakes for their events, Buttercream Lane Cakes was born.

Rachel and her family moved from Broken Arrow, OK to Parker, CO in the summer of 2020 (yes, during a pandemic!). While she misses her clients from Oklahoma, Rachel is so happy to be in such a beautiful place and has been blessed with amazing new clients in Colorado.
